Education: Retired U.S. Army Ranger; Jumpmaster; Air Assault. Graduate of Command and General Staff College. B.S. in Geology (Colorado State University). Master’s Degree in Organizational Effectiveness (CSU – Adult Education). Master’s Degree in Special Education (University of Colorado). Certifications in Organizational Effectiveness and Project Management (CSU). Six Sigma (Green Belt, Black Belt) and Lean Six Sigma (Villanova University). Joint Professional Military Education Certified Instructor.

Kurt Thomas

Background: Service-disabled Army veteran with 4 years of active duty service in the U.S. Army Transportation Corps. Retired U.S. Army Captain. Experienced Project Manager, Joint Professional Military Education instructor, and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt facilitator. Lead Business Developer providing contracting and consulting services for High Ground Consulting Group Inc. Currently serves as Senior Fleet Agriculture Manager at Nutrien Ag Solutions (formerly Agrium/Crop), based at headquarters in Loveland, Colorado.

Education: U.S. Army Airborne; U.S. Army Movement Officer Certified; U.S. Army Loadmaster Certified. B.S. in Landscape Architecture (Colorado State University); currently pursuing an MBA (CSU). Master Certifications in Six Sigma, Project Management, and Lean Enterprise Solutions. Certifications include Six Sigma (Green Belt, Black Belt), Lean Six Sigma, and Joint Professional Military Education (JPME) Certified Instructor.

Work/Psychology degree, 25 years experience in Special Education in curriculum modification, curriculum adaptation, and inclusion; 30 years experience as a parent of a daughter with special needs; 19 years experience in Human Resources, Administration, and Project Management (Military Special Education Projects) with High Ground Consulting Group, Inc. (Consulting Contractor to the Department of Defense).
